The spectrum ranges from classic black to the elegant look in Mopane with gold-plated keys, from a narrow German bore to a wide Vienna bore. Thanks to the ergonomically optimized mechanics of the German fingering system, both clarinet beginners and experienced musicians can realize their musical potential.

BEHIND THE SCENES
THE BODY
The wood used comes from sustainable forestry and is carefully tested for its usability. The careful and long-term storage and preparation for the later body is a time-consuming process that contributes significantly to the later quality of the instrument. The wood is further processed over many years, usually more than 10 years, in states that increasingly approximate the later clarinet form.
THE TONE HOLES
All tone holes of our Seggelke clarinets are drilled by hand and finished with appropriate files for optimum sound and intonation. The tops of the tone holes are specially sealed to ensure optimum sealing and noise-free radiation even with quartz resonance pads. This is time-consuming – but incredibly valuable for the subsequent sound experience.
THE MECHANICS
We attach great importance to quality and precision. That’s why we leave nothing to chance and construct everything ourselves, including the key parts of our clarinet mechanics. When it comes to production, we rely on the experience of our long-standing partner companies and are in constant contact with them. This enables us to ensure optimum functionality, durability and aesthetic quality.
